Why don't little seasonings include salt or sugar?

Our salt and sugar-free little seasonings put your little ones health first, leaving you in control. Added sugar does not provide any nutritional value to your little ones diet and babies kidneys are too small and not developed enough to cope with large volumes of salt (NHS), so if you are eating as a family, you may wish to portion out your littles meal first, before adding any additional salt to taste to yours.

How long will my little supper club seasonings last?

Our little seasonings contain no additives, artificial flavourings or anti-caking agents – just natural ingredients. As such, our spices will last on average for about 12 months. If you haven't used them up long before then, that is! After that, our spices won't really have gone off, they just won't be as aromatic any more. They smell and taste better when they're at their freshest. The year includes harvesting, delivery, processing and storage, shortening the best before date.

Important: Always close your spice containers carefully to ensure the aromas don't escape.

My seasonings are clumped together

Fear not! There is nothing wrong with your little seasonings. The reason is that some ingredients have a natural moisture and fat content. In addition, we do not use any additives, separating agents or preservatives which may cause it to look slightly moist and form small lumps.

Of course, it does not affect the quality and taste of the product in any way! You can easily loosen up the spice with a small fork.

Can I take little supper club seasonings on the plane?

Yes! Perfect for those self-catering holidays when you want to spend more time around the pool than in the kitchen!

Can I recycle the packaging?

All our packaging, including labels are FSC sourced and contain recycled or reclaimed material and can also be recycled themselves.

Can I reuse the packaging?

Absolutely – paint it with the kids and make a rocket ship or add some rice, tape it up and use it as a shaker!

Allergens and intollerances

When it comes to allergies and intolerances, there is one distinction: allergens that are contained as an ingredient in one of our little seasonings and common allergens as a food ingredient within the recipe.

Allergens as a food ingredient within the recipe under the list of 'what you need' are bolded.

All our little seasonings are 100% organic herb and spice blends without any additives or preservatives.

How do I store my seasonings?

In general, we recommend storing spices and spice mixes in a cool dry place, away from your oven or other nearby electronic heating devices (such as a microwave or toaster), as they may have a negative impact on your spices. It's also best to store them away from light and moisture.

Are our seasonings vegan?

All our little seasonings are vegan!

We do not use any additives and also no animal additives in our little seasonings.

Please note: there are a selection of vegan or vegan alternatives in our recipes.

Origins and certifications

We receive our organic herbs and spices from UK wholesalers.

With every raw material, we take great care to ensure that the spices and herbs are always inspected. Before processing they are cleaned and treated with the most modern and gentle processes.

Our little seasonings are certified organic by Organic Farmers and Growers (OF&G) who are a leading control body approved by the UK Government’s Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). OF&G is also fully accredited with UKAS to EN45011 (guideline for certifying bodies).

Should I follow BLW (Baby Led Weaning) or spoon feed?

We are huge advocates of creating a happy and healthy environment in the kitchen and at the table, so from our experience allowing your little to explore food independently through BLW has been contributed to reducing pressure and stress around meal times whilst allowing them to show you what they are interested in and what and when they are not. Some parents prefer baby-led weaning to spoon feeding, while others do a combination of both.

There's no right or wrong way. The most important thing is that your baby eats a wide variety of food and gets all the nutrients they need.

There's no more risk of choking when a baby feeds themselves than when they're fed with a spoon.
